Warning: OP recommend the use of a tough fingertip-less working glove. Tip-less so you can still use your mixer. Tough because mid-performance saw cuts are nasty.

Stump FAQs

Will any saw work with the Stump? I only have a junior hacksaw.

Yes you can use almost any saw, though short saws tend to look a bit urban on stage. We recommend at least 10 inches to get the most forestation out of your Stump. Owl Project do not use a flexible saw such as a Japanese; where as these sound great when amplified, they bend too much for the Stump and have high risk for the performer.

I find the stump a bit too heavy to hold and saw at the same time, is this normal?

Yes it's totally normal as a good Stump weighs several Kilos. The Stump is best placed on a firm base within easy reach. I like to keep mine at sawing height so I can easily change mode mid-stroke.
