Echo trace

One of the highlights of the year so far has been working with The Noise Upstairs [inc Dave Birchall and Anton Hunter] and a number of talented participants who turned up to the workshops at Withington Library, cumulating in a performance at Manchester Central Library...

'Echo Trace was a multi-arts programme of activities, the Echo Trace featured photography, literature, visual art, sound and music, led and brought to life by some of Manchester’s most cutting edge artists and creative organisations. The projects will take place at North City Library in Harpurhey, Longsight, Wythenshawe, Beswick and Withington libraries. Echo Trace marked the second phase of Chaos to Order – a programme that commenced with a weeklong artistic residency curated by Everything Everythingat Central Library last November.

Improvised music collective The Noise Upstairs, electronic sound artists The Owl Project and performance poet Shirley May all feature – along with spoken word ensemble Inna Voice, award-winning writer Emma Jane Unsworth, experimental musician David Birchall and digital media mavericks Let’s Go Global.'
